ACU was founded by Robert and Lynne Herrmann. 

ACU evolved from Robert's extensive experience in providing specialist services to the wool industry as a director of Wool Unlimited Company.

Through Robert's involvement in Wool Unlimited Company, he was one of the first in Australia to develop supply basis forward contracts for the wool industry. 

ACU's risk management advisory service now covers wool, grain and cattle. 

ACU was formed to bridge the gap between agricultural production and financial aspects of derivatives to offer clients access to leading risk management advice.

The evolution of ACU from a sole trading advisory company to a leading risk management organisation with clients in every state of Australia has resulted in ACU now being considered a unique advisory service. 

Since the company's foundation ACU has developed a strong client base throughout the entire supply chain. From producers to large agri-businesses, all enterprises involved with ACU have received valuable input into their businesses.
